I am sure most of you have heard by now that the ratification vote was 60%
against or no and 40% for or yes for the contract. At this time you will
continue to report as normal. If the company asks for your keys and ID go
ahead and turn them in. This does not mean we will strike at this time. I
will post any new information if I get any this weekend. Remember we have a
UNION MEETING TUESDAY Feb 2nd.

There will be a special meeting for CWA Local 3911 on Monday January 11th@ 6PM. It will be held at the same location as our regular monthly meetings 506 North Nashville Avenue in Sheffield--Iron Workers Local NO 477. The local Presidents met with bargaining team last month in Atlanta to get details of our tentaive contract agreement with AT & T. President Williams will be going over this information with us and those attending will have the opportunity to ask questions about the agreement. All job stewards are REQUIRED to attend. All members are encouraged to attend as well. While this meeting is specifically for the wire-line employees, all members are welcome to attend. This meeting does not replace our regular monthly meeting. The regular meeting will be held on Thursday January 21st @ 6PM. Any questions call me at 2567028055 or email lesliebogle(0)bellsouth.net.

Judy Dennis sent this information to Local 3905 today. It appears there has been a surplus cancellation in several states, however, it doesn't appear that the same applies to Alabama because there is no information in the spreadsheet. Surplus Cancellation PDF is attached.

Many of us are eager to see what other changes are in the contract and we'll be discussing what some of those changes are at the January Meeting @ Local 3905 if the contract is ratified. Currently we don't know when the ratification vote will take place.
